On December 19th, 2011 there was a meeting of Vytautas Magnus University Distance Course Certification Committee representatives held at Innovative Studies Institute. It aimed at certification of study subjects which had been prepared for distance teaching and learning in virtual learning environment.

124 participants from 32 Lithuanian and European institutions attended the conference.

Plenary session presentations were made by the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Republic of Lithuania, UNESCO, European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning (EFQUEL) and European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN). Business partners from Samsung Electronics Lithuania and ATEA presented the latest technological solutions for learning and innovative studies.

On June 21st, 2011 Vytautas Magnus university together with European Commission is organizing a workshop at EDEN conference, Dublin - "Strengthening HE Modernization, Internationalization and Openness by Supporting Teacher Virtual Mobility”.
