Several teachers from Vytautas Magnus University, representing Department for Public Communications, Departments of Education and Distance Study Centre began their vocational qualification courses via distance learning at university of Liege (Belgium) at the faculty of Psychology and Education.

"TeaCamp: Teacher Virtual Camp us: Research, Practice, Apply" (project No. 502102-LLP-1-2009-1-LT-ERASMUS-EVC), coordinated by Vytautas Magnus University, will hold its Kick-off in Vilnius, at partner institution Baltic Education Technology Institute.

With the consensus of study departments, Vytautas Magnus University is getting prepare to invite students from where ever they live to start HE studies in distance mode.
Study modules for A and B groups (1-2nd year studies) are being prepared and adapted to distance studies. Students will be able to follow video lectures, collaborate and communicate in a distance way, no matter where they live, work and travel.
Distance study options will be available for a number of modules for group A and B sub-group modules since Autumn, 2009.

LLP Leonardo da Vinci project partners met in Budapest for harmonization of pedagogical and technological methodologies and advanced training for course authors on social networking tools.
Revived and updated curriculum instances in Revive project will be based on Moodle platform with integrated social neworking and collaborative tools. Go to Revive website for more information on project progress.

"Regulation for distance studies organization" was signed by the Rector on July 1st, 2008, regulating the order to assess the quality of distance study curriculum, organization procedure, as well as criteria indicated for distance learning technologies used for curriculum realization.
The regulation provides procedure requirements for study programs developed at the University to be evaluated and accredited for distance studies, as well as requirements listed for ICT use in blended and distance studies.

During the implementation of Lithuanian Virtual University program, Vytautas Magnus University implemented research "Possibilities to Apply eLearning to Support the Development of Continuous and Vocational Training".

REVIVE project partners had the opportunity to meet personally, to revise the goals and tasks together. Partners introduced their trainings chosen for the project and presented the SWOT analyses. The next project meeting is to be held in Budapest, in March, 2009.

During implementation of Lithuanian Virtual University program, Vytautas Magnus University organizes international conference "Adult Learning and e-Learning Quality".
The goal of the conference is to discuss the factors influencing e-learning quality in the context of adult learning, and to contribute to adult learning and e-learning quality assurance.
