Teachers training on 8-12 May 2017 in Kaunas, Lithuania

With the aim to develop open, inclusive and innovative educational practices, in November 2016 partners from Hungary, Germany, Spain, Lithuania and Latvia launched the Vocational online collaboration for learning VOCAL project in the frame of Erasmus+ program.

The project aims to foster the open collaboration of HE teachers and VET trainers to design online, open and collaborative learning activities for diverse target groups, embedding digital, social, and intercultural competences.

Project activities include international trainings and workshops, as well as developing digital methods and online learning activities. The result of the project will include 6 online (re)developed courses for open learning; a developed ICT platform with training material on digitalization of quality learning resources, on designing online collaborative learning activities embedding digital, social and intercultural competence development and on tutoring international, intercultural and diverse learner groups, available as open educational resource; as well as 25 teachers from collaborating institutions trained during dedicated staff training on the above skills.

The VOCAL partners organize the first joint staff training on designing collaborative learning activities embedding digital, social and intercultural competences and digitalization of quality learning resources on 8-12 May 2017 in Kaunas, Lithuania. During the training participants will work in a blended environment, selecting ICT tools and designing an open curriculum at the ICT platform applying new skills and tools to convert an existing curriculum.
